Ananym

First time I am coming across this word - Ananym. And a great word too.

ananym (AN-uh-nim) noun

A name formed by reversing letters of another name, often used as a pseudonym.

Pretty simple simple and intriguing, huh? Well, it is is for me. When I was a kid in school we used to reverse names and call them by this name. That's how one Anoop got his name - Poona. We still call him Poona. Even my parents know him as Poona. Now there!!!

We also tried calling Manu (The Black Adder, another one of my friends) as Unam, which fortunately did not stand the test of time.
