Birthday of a Madman

Yesterday was Naveen's birthday.

And as usual I completely forgot all about his birthday. I did exchange a few words with him in the morning before coming to work. But, the birthday part missed my mind. So I came to work and started working. Then I noticed the date. Oh, F#$%, August 17, Naveen's birthday.

No panic, no issues. I called Anoop and we both conspired. So we came up with this plan - We get him some gift, (we are great admirers of the the thought "Its the thought that counts"), then we hide it somewhere at home and organize a treasure hunt for the birthday boy. Oh sorry! The birthday old man. The bad bad mad man. That's Naveen, of course.

Some hundred surreptious telephone calls later I find out that Anoop has failed to get the gift. Oh shit! Anyway we get home and organize the treasure hunt anyway, without the gift. As I pointed out earlier, its the thought that counts. Halfway through we realize that there's no food at home. So we rush the clues and everything and get the car to buy some food. We just make it back home before Naveen comes back from work. Then we realize that the last clue, which points out to Naveen's Marilyn Manson T-Shirt, is absolete. For the simple reason that we cannot find the damned T-shirt. And we can hear Naveen walking up the stairs. With just seconds to spare we put some money inside one his Maiden T-shirts and also re-write the last clue.

Naveen is dumbfounded looking at the door. I forgot to mention before, this post's title was actually pasted on the door - "Birthday of a Madman". And the side caption reads " 'Appy Birthdai Pyro' " with a birthday cake and 26 candles drawn around it. And of course, the first clue to the endless other clues. (The clues in my next post, sorry, but this post is getting too long).

And 10 clues later (some really great clues and hiding places ), he gets a cash gift for his birthday. How cool is that? Just imagine you get money to spend on your birthday.
