Reminiscing

Been a long long time since I updated this blog. Lots of stuff I wanna say, but I have forgotten most of what I wanted to write.

First things first, I had a ball of a time on saturday night. The first part of the day was all 7 of us (The Chows) meeting at Brigade Road. Then off we went to a place where it was too quiet for the likes of us. So we went off to TGIF (Thank God its Friday) where the music sucks, but a place big enough for us to be boisterous. It was great fun with all of us sharing news and inquiring about each other.

Then it was time to go home, when we picked some booze and food on the way. It was good to start with. And then someone came up with the idea of playing dumb charades. So we started playing and playing and playing... It was great fun and we were all having so much fun that we didn't realize that it was 4 o clock in the morning. So we winded up and went to sleep.

I would have loved to end this here. But then, we realized the next day that this was the last party we can actually hope to be having fun together. One guy is leaving for the US this week ( a short trip admittedly) and another guy, leaving for the UK to do his Doctorate. And this party was somehow ominous in its message - like the song from The Doors - this is the end, my only friend the end. Somehow it got into the bones that we may not be able to meet up even once a year from now. Maybe some of us, yes, but not all of us. Anyway it was good to be back and rocking.

It was a bit sad when everyone except two of us left from Bangalore the next day. But hey, lets look forward to the coming weekend and Monday when Knopfler is gonna rock.
